Swimming sensation Penny Oleksiak is the 2016 Canadian Athlete of the Year.

Oleksiak’s four-medal performance at the Rio Olympics highlighted with gold in the 100-metre freestyle has earned her the Lou Marsh Award.

The 16-year-old has kept up her success since returning from Rio. She added four more medals at the short-course world championship this month in Windsor.
