Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in Hamilton

A 55-year-old Hamilton man remains in critical condition after he was struck by a car on Wednesday.
Hamilton Police say the man was crossing Barton St. East near Sherman Ave. North when he was struck by a passing car.
He was transported to hospital where he reportedly remains in critical condition.

The driver of the car, a 52-year-old woman, stayed at the scene and police say she is cooperating entirely with investigators.
Hamilton police’s collision reconstruction unit has taken charge of the investigation due to the severity of the injuries sustained by the pedestrian.
