Pedestrian dies in Niagara Falls morning collision

A man has died following a motor-vehicle collision in Niagara Falls this morning.

Niagara police say that Thorold Stone Road is closed between Portage Road and Sinnicks Avenue, and Carroll Avenue is closed between Thorold Stone Road and Elizabeth Street due to the investigation.

Police were called to the scene around 8:20 a.m. The pedestrian had life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

It is unknown how long the roads will be closed for.
