Pedestrian dies in Niagara Falls morning collision

Niagara police say a man has died following a collision involving a pedestrian in Niagara Falls on Thursday morning.

Officers were called to the scene around 8:20 a.m. The pedestrian had life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

Thorold Stone Road was closed between Portage Road and Sinnicks Avenue, and Carroll Avenue was closed between Thorold Stone Road and Elizabeth Street due to the investigation.

Thorold Stone Road and Carroll Avenue reopened shortly before 1 p.m.
