Pedestrian, 86, dead after being struck by dump truck in Long Point
Ontario Provincial Police say an 86-year-old pedestrian has died after they were struck by a dump truck in Long Point early Wednesday afternoon.
Norfolk County OPP and paramedics were called shortly after 1 p.m. to an address on Erie Boulevard for a report of a collision.
Const. Andrew Gamble says the elderly Oxford County resident was walking along the roadway when the dump truck struck them.

Police say the pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Erie Boulevard will remain closed for the next several hours between Austin Parkway and Beach Avenue.
