Paul Kantner dies at 74

Paul Kantner, one of the co-founders of the band Jefferson Airplane, has died. The guitarist and songwriter died yesterday of organ failure and septic shock. He had been admitted to a San Francisco hospital after falling ill earlier this week.
Jefferson Airplane was prominent in the mid 1960s. They had hit songs like “Somebody to love” and “White rabbit.”
He remained with the band through the 70’s and 80’s when it reinvented itself as Jefferson Starship and then simply Starship.
