Patient with C. Diff dies at Hotel Dieu Shaver

The Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital in St. Catharines says a patient with C. Difficile has died.

The hospital says the coroner will investigate the death to determine if C. Difficile was the cause.

This is the second person with C. Diff. to die at the hospital.

Officials say another patient tested positive Wednesday night for the infection, bringing the total number of cases to seven.

An outbreak was declared on October 19th.
