Drivers in the Hamilton area are advised to avoid a part of the Red Hill Valley Parkway after an early morning tractor-trailer rollover.
Police responded to the scene on the parkway between Greenhill Avenue and King Street East shortly after midnight.
The truck — travelling northbound — overturned and spilled a number of steel coils onto the roadway, blocking the middle lanes.
The collision caused extensive damage to approximately 300 feet of guardrail separating the northbound and southbound lanes. Debris from the transport truck and rail was scattered throughout the northbound roadway.

Hamilton police say there were minor injuries in the collision and that the front of truck was towed early this morning. Charges are expected.
The Mud Street to King Street East area of the parkway remains closed as the investigation and clean-up continues.
Commuters can expect congestion in the area until the section of the expressway is reopened.
