An overnight fire has destroyed a house under construction in Brantford, Ont.
The blaze happened at what appears to be a new-build structure on the corner of Alfred and Arthur streets near the city’s civic centre.
Deputy Fire Chief Dwayne Armstrong says everything is under investigation in terms of the cause of the fire and whether or not it’s suspicious.
There were some minor road closures in the area and one Brantford Fire Department truck remained on scene in the morning.
Brantford police say that a neighbouring home was evacuated due to the fire.
