Overnight fire closes central Hamilton streets

An overnight fire in central Hamilton that started on a vacant piece of land near Sherman Avenue has closed several streets.

A Hamilton police staff sergeant says the area had been littered with garbage before the fire started.

Crews are at the scene putting out hotspots.
