Sunday will mark the 2nd anniversary of the tragic Ornge air ambulance crash that killed two pilots and two paramedics.
Burlington’s Chris Snowball was one of the paramedics who died in the crash and his family says they are still waiting for answers about what caused the accident.
The doomed flight that Chris was on took off from Moosonee on May 31, 2013 and crashed only 11 minutes later.
The crew was heading to Attawapiskat to pick up a patient. In the 2 years since the crash Ornge has been charged with 17 labour code offences including allowing pilots to fly the chopper without adequate training, but the Transportation Safety Board and Ministry of Transportation have not completed their investigations.
Chris’s family says they need closure and they only way to get that is to find out what caused the crash .
TSB said the average investigation last a year, this one is now double that. When asked what was taking so long they said it’s a very complex investigation and they want to dot all the i’s and cross all the t’s.
