Ornge CEO responds to the tragedy

The crash happened in Moosonee. It’s a northern Ontario community, north of the Transcanada Highway and close to James Bay.

The Ornge ambulance flight left Moosonee just after midnight and was en route to Attawapiskat. No patients were on board at the time of the crash.

Ornge officials held a couple of news conferences Friday to keep the public informed about this crash and the investigation into why it happened.

Ornge says is is now taking precautionary measures. Lisa Hepfner has been following those developments and joins us with the latest.

Also, the President and CEO of Ornge, Dr. Andrew McCallum commented at a news conference late this afternoon.
