Following Thursday’s pre-election budget reveal by the Ford government, the New Democrats and the Liberals are wasting no time appealing to voters.

The campaign trail doesn’t start until next week, but all three leaders were in Toronto, calling the budget into question.

$198 billion of decade-long spending tabled by the Ford government will act as its platform.

During an announcement in Scarborough on Friday morning, Andrea Horwath criticized the budget. Horwarth claims billions of dollars in cuts are in the platform which focused on big spending on highways, hospitals, and transit.

Liberal Leader Steven Del Duca announced a tax relief proposal on prepared food or drink purchases.

The campaign trail officially starts on May 4th, 2022.
