OPP seize drugs, $12K in cash following RIDE check near QEW

Two people are facing charges after a RIDE check led to the seizure of drugs and a large amount of cash.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say officers were conducting RIDE checks near the QEW and Centennial Pkwy. when they spotted drugs inside a vehicle and a passenger who was not wearing a seatbelt.

Police searched the vehicle and locate oxycodone, pregabalin 75, codeine and duloxetine. They also found more than $12,000 in cash.

Two people were arrested and face drug trafficking charges.
