A pride flag has been stolen from an elementary school in the southwestern Ontario community of Norwich.

Oxford OPP say it happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night at Emily Stowe Public School on Jerdon Street.

Two suspects cut the metal flagpole and took the rainbow-coloured flag. The Canadian flag was not removed or damaged.

A pride flag was taken from the same school and set on fire last week.

Following the incident, the Thames Valley District School Board said it was raised to support inclusivity.

“There is no place for hatred and discrimination in our school community,” a statement from the board read.

Police are asking anyone with information or video footage from the area that evening to contact the Oxford OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
