OPP investigating suspicious fire in Norfolk County

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fire in Turkey Point that has been deemed suspicious.

Police say Norfolk County OPP responded to a fire around 4:10 a.m. today located an address on Landon St.

Volunteer firefighters arrived on scene to a fully engulfed cottage and camping trailer. They were able to extinguish the fire before it spread to another nearby cottage.

Investigators are asking any homeowners in the Turkey Point area along Cedar Drive that may have video surveillance systems to check their footage. They are asked to see if the video captured any vehicles leaving the area between 3:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m.
