Ontario seniors recognized
Ontario has honoured its senior citizens.
Twenty people throughout the province have been awarded this year’s “Senior Achievement Award’ which is Ontario’s highest recognition for those over 65.
Included on the list is Oakville’s Frank Zamuner; a long time volunteer for Halton Healthcare Services.
He’s also the father of former NHL player Rob Zamuner.
Also on the list is Barbara Davis of Brantford.
Davis is a volunteer at St. Joseph’s Hospital where she established both a widows’ group and a group for parents of suicide victims.
Donald Jackson from Niagara Falls was also recognized.
He was given the award for his dedication to preserving the history of the Falls, including his work with the Niagara Falls Museum Advisory Board.
