Ontario is reporting 203 new cases of COVID-19, an increase of 0.6 percent, bringing the total number of cases to 31,544, with more than 82 percent of those resolved.
This is now the fourth day Ontario has recorded less than 300 new cases.
Currently there are 538 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, 120 of those are in ICU and 87 are on ventilators.
The province completed more than 24,000 tests with 16,359 currently under investigation.
The death toll in the province is up by 12, pushing the total to 2,487 – more than 64 per cent of which comes from residents in long-term care homes.
Premier Doug Ford was tested for COVID-19 Wednesday, his test result came back negative as did Minister Elliott’s.
On Tuesday his education minister came into contact with someone who was infected, though the minister’s test came back negative.
