Ontario reported 4,505 cases of COVID-19 and 34 deaths on Friday.
The daily case count comes as the province completed 56,206 tests. The reported positivity rate, which takes into account the date tests were performed is 8.8 per cent.
Ontario is reporting 4,505 cases of #COVID19 and over 56,200 tests completed. Locally, there are 1,257 new cases in Toronto, 1,232 in Peel, 412 in York Region, 247 in Ottawa and 224 in Durham.

There are 2,287 patients in hospital across Ontario, down from the 2,350 reported on Thursday.
There number of patients in intensive care is up to 818. Of them, 593 are on ventilators.
Another 133,872 vaccine doses were administered on Thursday. There are 355,208 people in the province who have received both required doses.
Another 4,698 cases have been marked as resolved.
