Ontario reported 3,469 cases of COVID-19 and 22 deaths on Tuesday as hospitalizations soar.
The numbers reported Tuesday come as the province completed 40,596 tests. The reported positivity rate, which takes into account the date tests were done, is 10 per cent.
There were 90,409 vaccine doses administered on Monday, with the total number of vaccines administered to date just shy of 4 million.
But the province says the vaccine number is actually higher than reported, noting that the Rogers outage forced some vaccine clinics to report their data on paper.
There are 347,597 who have received both required vaccine doses and are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Projections for the 3rd wave of COVID-19 in the City of Hamilton show the region could be in the Grey-Lockdown or Red-Control zone of the provincial framework even at the end of June. GREY *LINE* IS THE PROJECTION. PURPLE IS WORST CASE. @CHCHNews @morninglive pic.twitter.com/YyWU6daTAc
