Ontario reports 2,199 COVID-19 cases, 30 deaths

Ontario reported 2,199 cases of COVID-19 and 30 deaths today.

The seven-day rolling average now stands at 2,430 which is down from 2,576 yesterday.

The reported positivity rate is 6.8 per cent, with the province completing 33,142 tests in the last 24 hours.

Another 3,079 cases have been marked as resolved. The death toll is 8,485 people.

There are 1,292 people in hospital with COVID-19 across Ontario, and 785 patients in ICU with 552 of them on ventilators.

The province administered 139,583 vaccine doses. There are 429,636 people in the province who have received both required doses.

Ontarians ages 30 and up will be eligible for a vaccine appointment sometime this week.
