Ontario is reporting 1,824 new cases of COVID-19 and 14 deaths.

The province says the new case total includes 127 cases from Middlesex-London from the last three days.

Labs completed 52,873 tests with another 58,320 tests under investigation.

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:

Haldimand-Norfolk: 1 new case, 40 active cases

Brant: 8 new cases, 67 active cases, 8 in hospital

Niagara: 30 new cases, 210 active cases, 11 in hospital

Hamilton: 69 new cases, 561 active cases, 1 death, 26 in hospital

Halton: 58 new cases, 766 active cases, 1 death, 18 in hospital

Another 1,541 cases were marked as resolved. Overall, nearly 85 per cent of the province’s COVID-19 cases are resolved.

There are 666 people hospitalized with COVID-19 across the province. There are 195 patients in intensive care, up from the 183 reported on Wednesday.

This comes just one day after the Ontario hospital association warned that the number of COVID-19 patients in ICU is making it hard to carry on with other procedures.

There were 122 cases reported in the province’s schools.
