Ontario government invests $1.5M in Jumpstart to support youth recreation

The Ontario government has announced a $1.5 million investment in Jumpstart to expand youth sports and recreation as part of the 2024-25 Inclusive Grassroots Recreation program.
“Our government is proud to partner with Jumpstart and invest in community-based programs which promote physical activity, teach new skills and encourage children and youth to lead healthier lives,” said Neil Lumsden, Minister of Sport.
Lumsden added that many families are facing higher costs of living due to the tariffs. This investment is intended to help Jumpstart continue to provide accessible programs to children across the province.
This investment is an increase of more than $500,000 from last year.
