Ontarians linked to Al Qaeda attack in Algeria
London, Ontario is not considered a hotbed for terrorism; at least according to the leaders of the Muslim community in that city.
They joined with city officials today to condemn the actions of two young men who grew up in the western Ontario city, who CSIS and the RCMP say were involved in a terrorist attack on an Algerian gas plant. The bloody four-day siege of the gas plant last January by Al Qaeda militants ended when Algerian troops stormed the compound.
Muslim leaders in London, Ontario responded to reports that two of the militants were high school friends from that city. Scot Urquhart joins us with details of that news conference:
