One person has died and three others were wounded in a shooting in Toronto’s west end on Sunday afternoon.

City police say officers responded shortly after 2 p.m. to reports that a man had opened fire after getting out of a car.

Const. David Hopkinson says early indications suggest the suspect fired into another vehicle, striking multiple people.

He says officers have identified four victims. One of them, a 28-year-old man, has since died.

Officers have been collecting evidence at the scene and canvassing the area for witnesses and video footage.
