Ontario Provincial Police say one person is dead and six others are injured after a head-on collision south of Cambridge on Highway 8.
On March 28 at approximately 6:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of a collision involving two passenger vehicles on Highway 8 westbound at Safari Road.
One of the passengers was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual was airlifted to hospital. Five others involved were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
OPP say Highway 8 is expected to remain closed for several hours between Studiman and Sheffield roads during the investigation.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage of the area at the time of the collision is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
