One man arrested, woman injured in stabbing on Hamilton Mountain

One man has been arrested after a woman suffered minor stab wounds in an altercation early Saturday morning on the Hamilton Mountain.

Police say they were called to the area of Fennell Avenue East and East 26th Street shortly before 3 a.m. for reports of a stabbing.

After arriving on scene, officers located a woman with minor stab wounds. They add she has since been treated and remains in stable condition.

Authorities say the man involved in the incident was located and arrested without incident.

As a result, a 41-year-old Hamilton man has been charged with aggravated assault and arson.

A section of Fennell Avenue East between East 28th Street to Upper Sherman Avenue was closed during the investigation. Officials say one right lane remains closed.
