One man arrested, another wanted after woman’s body found in Niagara Falls parking lot

Niagara police are looking for a 38-year-old man from Niagara Falls in relation to the investigation of the sudden death of a 22-year-old woman.

Officers say they received a report of a sudden death in the area of Main and Ferry Street in the City of Niagara Falls Tuesday.

Detectives say they found a 22-year-old woman in the parking lot at the back of a building in the area and turned the investigation over to the homicide unit.

Police arrested 43-year-old Christopher St. Louis of Niagara falls, and charged him with indignity to a body.

St. Louis remains in custody and is scheduled to attend a bail hearing Thursday at a St. Catharines courthouse.

Niagara police are seeking an arrest warrant for 38-year-old Ryan Maeder of Niagara Falls, who is also wanted for the offence of indignity to a body.

They are encouraging Maeder to seek legal counsel and to turn himself in to police.

Officers say the cause of the woman’s death is still under investigation.

They have also not disclosed any details of the woman at this time.
