Niagara police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash in Niagara Falls that left a person in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday at 4 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision at Lundy’s Lane between Beechwood and Garner roads.

Investigators say a Dodge Ram truck had been towing a trailer in an unsafe manner, resulting in the trailer dislodging and colliding with a Honda CRV.

Officers say the driver of the Honda CRV was transported to an out of region hospital with what was later determined to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police tell CHCH News that the truck driver is facing several charges including careless driving causing bodily harm and improper means of attaching a commercial motor vehicle.

A stretch of Lundy’s Lane between Garner and Beechwood roads was closed for the investigation. Roads reopened around 10:15 p.m.
