One dead, another injured in crash on Niagara Stone Road in NOTL

Niagara police say one man has died and another person is in hospital with minor injuries after a crash on Niagara Stone Road in Niagara-On-The-Lake.

Officers closed the portion of the road between Concession 7 and Airport roads as part of a collision investigation and are asking drivers to avoid the area.

Investigators say two vehicles, with one occupant in each, were involved in the crash.

Officers told CHCH News that it is too early in the investigation to know the cause of the accident.

Police say the road is expected to remain closed for several hours.

Niagara police’s Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation and are asking anyone with who may have witnessed the crash or has dash-cam footage of the incident to contact them at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009259.
