One charged after police recover firearm during search warrant in Fort Erie

Niagara police say they have charged a man after detectives recovered a firearm during a search warrant.

Police say on April 23, as a result of an investigation of illegal firearms, they executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Bertie Street and Douglas Street, in the town of Fort Erie.

Officers say one suspect was arrested and one firearm was recovered.

Police say 50-year-old Terry Gallagher of Fort Erie has been charged with multiple offences.
