Officer on trial after man beaten during botched drug raid

A trial is now underway after a Hamilton Police officer allegedly roughed up a 59-year old man during a drug raid last spring.


The victim wasn’t a drug dealer — and the officer is now in court on assault charges.
This incident prompted Hamilton Police chief Glenn de Caire to apologize to the man and his family.
