Oakville man arrested with $32 000 worth of drugs

On April 7, at around 9:30pm, a 22 year old Oakville man was driving his vehicle on Kerr Street in Oakville and was stopped by the Provincial Repeat Offenders Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad and arrested on a parole related issue.

The Oakville man was in possession of a duffel bag containing illegal drugs and related paraphernalia.

The police found 2,664 in cash, 23.8 grams of cocaine, 345 grams of cannabis resin and 2,686 grams of cannabis marihuana was seized. Cell phones, scales , plastic packaging and a set of brass knuckles was also taken from the male.

Total street value during the arrest is approximately $32,000.00.

George Smith, 22 years of Oakville is facing a number of drug and weapon related charges.

Smith has been held for bail.
