Advance voting started today for residents in Oakville’s ward two by-election and there’s lots of interest in the position. 11 candidates have been campaigning for the council seat left vacant by Liberal MP Pam Damoff.
Ward 2 is bounded by Third line and Sixteen Mile creek, south of the QEW to Lake Ontario. The former councilor, Pam Damoff who’s son is running now, was elected MP of the new Oakville north Burlington riding during last fall’s Federal election leaving the seat up for grabs.
There’s another advance poll on Saturday and then voting day for this by-election is April 11th.
