Norfolk police charge 27-year-old in connection to Simcoe assault

Norfolk police have charged a 27-year-old man in connection to an assault that happened in Simcoe.

Police say that on Feb. 28, they responded to a disturbance on Water Street around 11:39 p.m.

Their investigation revealed that a person had brandished a weapon and made threats before running away.

No injuries were reported as a result.

Dillon Burke of Norfolk County has been charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Simcoe on April 1.
