Norfolk County OPP investigating an early morning robbery in Simcoe

Norfolk County OPP continues to investigate after an early morning robbery in Simcoe.

Police say they were called to a business on Robinson Street just before 6 am after two men forcibly entered the store through the front window. Once inside they began smashing various glass cases, which woke up the owner who was sleeping nearby in a residence. The owner came in and confronted the thieves. After a physical confrontation, the owner chased the men out of the store and was able to recover most of the stolen property. The two men were last seen running southbound on Robinson Street.
