No hot water at Salvation Army Hamilton Booth Centre for a month
People taking shelter in the Salvation Army Hamilton Booth Centre have been without hot water for one month.
A spokesperson for the men’s shelter on York Blvd. says the issue began on June 27 due to an aging water system.
The Salvation Army says it’s working with a contractor to install a new system.
“We recognize and apologize for the inconvenience this has caused residents,” it says in a statement to CHCH News.
The new hot water system is expected to be fully installed before the end of this week.
