Provincial police say charges will not be laid after a school fire in Wingham, Ont. early last month.
The fire at F.E. Madill Secondary School on April 7 critically injured a student, who remains in hospital.
The OPP says it has concluded what it calls an “extensive investigation.”
“No involvement by additional individuals was identified and no grounds were found to lay criminal charges,” says Sgt. Ed Sanchuk in a video posted to social media.

Police are asking people in the community to refrain from sharing unverified information related to the fire and to consider the impact speculation can have on the youth involved and their family.
