Police held a public information session this week to speak about the dangers and sharp spike in human trafficking cases in the Niagara area.

Niagara police say there was a 700 per cent increase in the number of victims and survivors that were identified between 2023 and 2024.

The session — held at police headquarters — was to inform and educate the community about the signs of human trafficking and what to do if you suspect someone may be a victim or survivor.
