Police are asking the public to keep an eye out for three people they say stole thousands of dollars of merchandise from a retailer in the City of Niagara Falls.

The thefts originally spanned two separate occasions at the Duty Free on Niagara Avenue, but detectives were able to spot a similar face between the two instances, linking the investigations together.

The first theft occurred on June 4, 2023, when two men entered the store around 8:15 p.m. and stole multiple items exceeding $1,000.

Several months later, on Jan. 9, 2024, a similar incident occurred.

Around 6 p.m. a man and woman entered the store and managed to steal upwards of $7,000 in merchandise.

Police believe the man from the theft on Jan. 9 is one of the two from the theft on June 4.

Authorities are now on the hunt for the three individuals and are turning to the public for assistance in identifying them.

The first male is described as a 20 to 35-year-old who stands at 6 feet. He has a black beard and short dark hair. At the time, he had his arm in a black sling and was wearing a black Chicago Bulls shirt and dark jeans.

The second male is described as a 20 to 35-year-old with a dark beard, short hair and a medium build.

In the first incident, he wore a white polo shirt and jeans. In the second incident, he had on a green shirt with a black hooded jacket, blue jeans and black boots.

Police say the woman stands at five-foot-six and has a slender build. She was last seen wearing a beige hijab, a long brown winter coat, black pants and black and white Converse shoes.

Detectives are asking anyone who might be able to identify these suspects to contact them at 905-688-4111.
