Niagara police seek driver involved in alleged road rage incident

Niagara police are trying to track down a driver who was involved in an alleged road rage incident in St. Catharines earlier this month.

Emergency crews were called to a collision involving an electric bicycle in the area of Bradley St. and Mountain St. around 3:40 p.m. on Sept. 1.

Investigators learned a 26-year-old man driving a grey Volkswagen Rabbit had been involved in an alleged road rage incident with a white Nissan while traveling westbound on Bradley St.

Police say the vehicles were approaching Mountain St. and the Volkswagen attempted to make a right-hand turn. The driver lost control of his vehicle, struck a curb, and collided with a 50-year-old man who was riding an electric bicycle.

The cyclist was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 26-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was arrested and charged with careless driving.

Niagara police are trying to identify the driver of the white Nissan that had been involved in the alleged road rage incident.
