Niagara police release video in fatal crash, witnesses urged to come forward

Niagara police have released a new video in connection with a fatal crash that left a 52-year-old man dead.
Police say Paul Fulton, of Niagara Falls, was driving an E-bike on Drummond Rd. just north of Dunn St. around 11:30 p.m. on Mar. 19 when he lost control and was thrown from the bike. Fulton was then struck by a Mazda 3 that was travelling southbound.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the Mazda did not stop at the scene.
The video released by police shows Fulton driving down the roadway on his E-bike, and the Mazda before, during and after the collision. Another light coloured car can also be seen in the video and police are hoping the driver of that vehicle will come forward as a potential witness.
Investigators say detectives have recovered “identifying car parts” from the scene that are being sent to the Centre of Forensic Sciences. “Detectives are confident that they will be able to use the debris to identify the subject vehicle,” said Niagara police in a news release.
Earlier this week, police issued a photo of a vehicle similar to the Mazda that police believe was involved in the collision. It is described as a newer model grey, Mazda 3 and likely has minor damage to the front end bumper.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about this incident to contact them at 905-688-4111, dial option 3, and badge number 9265.
