Niagara police investigate early morning shooting at Welland home

Niagara police were called to a home in Welland early Friday morning following a shooting that sent a man to hospital with injuries.
The incident took place at a residence in the area of Leaside and McCrae drives. Police believe it was a targeted shooting.
Officers arrived to find the injured man and paramedics transported him to an out-of-region hospital for treatment. His injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
Police say that the suspect fled prior to police arrival.
