Niagara police are investigating after a man exposed himself to a teen girl in West Lincoln.

Police say the girl was walking home in the area of Canborough Rd. and Townline Rd. around 10:30 p.m. on July 10.

A man who was sitting in a small dark coloured vehicle got out of his car and began walking towards the teen on the sidewalk.

Police say the man stood on behind a fence and exposed himself.

He then got back into his vehicle and left the area.

There was no physical contact or conversation between the teen and suspect, police say.

The man is described as white, between 20 and 30 years of age, with a medium build.

Niagara police are also investigating a separate incident involving a teen girl and a suspicious man in the same area.

On July 11, a teen reported to police she had been followed by a man while out for a walk.

It happened between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. in the area of Townline Rd. and Wade Rd.

Police say there was no interaction between the man and girl, however, a motorist who was passing by noticed the body language of the teen and suspected something was wrong.

The motorist stopped and gave the teen a ride to her home.

In this incident, the suspect is described as white, roughly five-foot-six, between 40 and 60 years of age, with a medium build and thinning grey or white hair.

Police believe it is possible that the same man was involved in both incidents.

“We recognize there are some differences between the two incidents, but there are also some similarities being the area of the occurrences, similar ages and sex of the victims, within a day of each other, walking females being approached,” said Niagara police Const. Phil Gavin. “We are still working to obtain some details from the victims and possible witnesses.”

Police are asking residents and businesses in the area with security cameras to check their footage for anything that may help identify the person or people involved in these incidents.

Anyone with information that could help police with the investigations is asked to contact the detective at 905-688-4111, ext. 1009935.
