Niagara Police: fire may have been murder attempt

A St Catharines neighbourhood is on edge, after a suspicious fire left a 77-year-old woman fighting for her life in a Toronto hospital.

She was trapped in her burning home as neighbours tried to put out a small blaze Wednesday night. As Lauran Sabourin reports, detectives were called in because there’s some indication this incident may be something more than a fire.
