Niagara police drug trafficking investigation leads to 3 arrests

Three people are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation by Niagara police.

Police launched an investigation earlier this month into the sale of fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine from a home in Niagara Falls.

On Saturday, officers executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Waters Ave. and Bonnie St.

Police seized roughly $2,000 worth of drugs and $420 in cash. Officers also located numerous items that had been recently stolen during break-ins at businesses in Niagara Falls.

Kaitlynn Madill, 25, and Joseph Cavanaugh, 46, both of Niagara Falls were arrested and face drug trafficking charges.

Police also arrested 38-year-old Andrew Edwards, of Niagara Falls. He faces 11 counts of break and enter and one count of trafficking proceeds of crime under $5,000.
