Niagara police continue to tackle drug trafficking in St. Catharines
Niagara police continue to tackle the distribution of illegal drugs in St. Catharines, seizing more than $17,000 worth of illegal drugs and arresting two people.
The drugs were seized as a result of a search warrant that was carried out on Wednesday at an address on Hemlock Street near Hazel Street.
Police uncovered 43.4 grams of suspected cocaine, 16.7 grams of suspected fentanyl, and 500 hydromorphone pills, a total combined estimated value of $17,680.
Detectives also seized a stolen all-terrain vehicle (ATV), a high voltage taser, and $1,290 believed to have been acquired through the proceeds of crime.

Two people were arrested following the execution of the search warrant.
Janae Marine Radsma, 31, of St. Catharines is facing seven separate charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with a release order.
Anthony Allan Speirs, 30, of no fixed address is charged with a total of six offences, including possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon.
The accused remain in custody with an upcoming court appearance scheduled.
