Niagara police arrest third person in human trafficking investigation

Niagara police have arrested a third person in their ongoing human trafficking investigation.

Officers say that following their initial investigation, which resulted in the arrests of a man and a young woman of Niagara Falls, led them to identifying a third person.

Henry Igboenyesi or “Von,” 19, of Scarborough was arrested by Peel police on Oct. 6 through an unrelated investigation.

On Monday, Niagara police charged Igboenyesi with trafficking people under 18, procuring people under 18, advertising sexual services, benefitting from sexual services provided by people under 18 and other related charges.

Investigators believe there are additional victims and survivors and are urging people with information to come forward.
