Niagara police arrest man wanted for striking 3 cruisers

A man wanted for striking three police cruisers with his car in St. Catharines on Monday has been arrested.
Jeremy Joseph Bowen, 24, of no fixed address, struck three police vehicles Monday morning before fleeing the area.

Niagara Regional Police spotted Bowen’s black Honda Civic in downtown St. Catharines and officers converged in the area to arrest him.
The suspect drove from the area at a high rate of speed in order to evade capture.
Officers decided not to follow him at the time with public safety in mind.
When Bowen was seen in the downtown area again a short time later, police blocked-in his vehicle and were able to make the arrest.
Bowen has been charged with:
- Uttering threats
- Two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
- Theft under $5000
- Six counts of failing to comply with probation
- Two counts of flight from peace officer
- Assault a peace officer with weapon
- Fail to stop at scene of an accident
- Assault peace officer
- Resist arrest
