Niagara Falls stabbing leaves 59-year-old man in hospital

Police say a 59-year-old man has been sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being stabbed Wednesday afternoon in Niagara Falls.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of Niagara Square Drive near McLeod Road. There they located a man suffering from a stab wound.
He was transported to hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities believe a woman engaged in a verbal argument with the man before stabbing him in the back one time. The woman then fled the scene in a silver sedan southbound on Niagara Square Drive.
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident or anyone who may have dashcam footage, video surveillance or relevant information is asked to call police at 905-688-4111, option 3, ext. 1009730.
