Niagara Falls man arrested in connection with multiple break and enters

A 41-year-old man is facing a slew of charges in connection with multiple break-ins throughout Niagara Region.

Police launched an investigation back in March into a series of commercial break and enters in Fort Erie, Thorold, Niagara Falls and Welland.

Police say two thieves in a Dodge Caravan that was stolen from Hamilton on Mar. 3 broke into 12 businesses.

On Monday, officers arrested Kevin Boutilier, of Niagara Falls.

He has been charged with break, enter and commit place other than a dwelling, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, mischief under $5,000, attempt break, enter and with intent place other than a dwelling, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and fail to comply with probation order.

The stolen vehicle was located and police are awaiting a warrant to search a Niagara Falls hotel in the area of Lundy’s Lane and Montrose Rd.

Police are still looking for a second man who is described as white, with a medium build.
